In this option you have

In other words, you can send a postcard from the Yandex home page without having your mail on Yandex.

and in the right corner we click on the edge with the Postcards (Fig. 1). If there is no corner with Postcards, then the holiday, according to Yandex, has not yet arrived.

After that, we are given the opportunity to choose a postcard for the New Year, because now is exactly the New Year. On other holidays, there will be other themed postcards in the right corner of the Yandex home page.

By clicking on the corner on the Yandex main page (number 1 in Fig. 2), we will see the “Congratulate loved ones with a postcard” window:

Select and click on the postcard you like (number 2 in Fig. 2). The selected card will appear with a yellow “Write” button:

1) From whom (number 1 in Fig. 4) - your name. If you want, you can add both a patronymic and a surname to the name.

2) To whom (number 2 in Fig. 4) - we indicate without errors the e-mail of the person to whom we are sending the postcard. You can open another tab in the browser, find and copy the address (rkfdbifvb Ctrl + C) of the recipient of the postcard there. And then paste the address (Ctrl + V) into Yandex.Postcard.

3) (number 3 in Fig. 4) Write a message no more than 140 characters.

4) (number 4 in Fig. 4) Enter captcha (protection against spam, which serves to confirm that the message is sent by a person, and not by a robot for sending). If the numbers in the picture are illegible, click on the "Show another picture" button and enter the numbers from the picture.

5) (number 5 in Fig. 4) Click on the "Send" button.

If the postcard is filled out correctly from Yandex's point of view, then the message will appear: “Postcard for (hereinafter is the e-mail of the recipient of the postcard) has been sent” and two buttons will be available: “Send one more” and “Close”. You can click on "Close". That's all. However, there are nuances.

Received a postcard, how to read it?

The recipient to whom you sent your postcard will see a message from Yandex in his mail with the note “Postcard for you” with the following content:

1) Going to your Yandex mail, click on the "Write" button (1 in Fig. 5).

2) The "Postcard" tab will appear, click on it (2 in Fig. 5).

  • "Write me",
  • "I love",
  • "Thank you",
  • "Other".

I clicked on the "Others" tab (3 in Fig. 5). Postcards from the selected topic will appear below.

I chose the postcard indicated by the number 4 in Fig. 5. The postcard is called “Time to Dream” - this name automatically appears in the subject line (6 in Fig. 5). Instead, you can enter your own version of the email subject.

5) Fill in the “To” field (5 in Fig. 5).

IMPORTANT: we write e-mail WITHOUT ERRORS in the field indicated by the number 5 in Fig. 5. Otherwise, it will turn out, as in the story of A.P. Chekhov's boy sent a letter to the address "to the village of grandfather."

The letter will not reach even if there is one error in the recipient's e-mail. To avoid this, find the required e-mail, select it, press the Ctrl + C hotkeys, place the cursor in the "To" line (5 in Fig. 5), then press the Ctrl + V hotkeys.

6) You can change the name of the subject in the letter by clicking with the mouse in the field indicated by the number 6 in Fig. 1. After the cursor is in this field, erase the old name and enter a new one.

The main work has been done. However, before we send the postcard, let's deal with the important details, there are only 6 of them (see fig. 6).

1) After the postcard is selected, its name automatically appears in the subject line (number 6 in Fig. 5). In addition, the greeting text automatically appears at the bottom of the postcard. Of course, it can be changed, which I did (number 1 in Fig. 6).

2) If you want a postcard (photo, large text, something else), then click on the "Attach files" button (number 2 in Fig. 6).

A window will open in which you will need to find desired file on your computer, and then click on the “Open” button in this window.

3) If the buttons designated by numbers 4, 5, 6 in fig. 6 You are not interested, then we click on the "Submit" button.

4) A letter with a postcard can get into Spam, so it makes sense to pay attention to the buttons marked with numbers 4 and 5 in Fig. 6.

In the case when you need to “remind me if no response to the letter is received within 5 days,” then put a tick in front of such a message, indicated by the number 4 in Fig. 6.

5) If you want to give Yandex the task to “notify about the receipt of a letter,” then put a check mark in front of this option, marked with the number 5 in Fig. 6.

6) I like the functionality of the button when it is better to send a postcard (number 6 in Fig. 6). By clicking on the "today" link (the same number 6), you can select the date of dispatch and even the time of dispatch - it is very convenient, you can set the dispatch to any date without fear of forgetting or missing it.

7) In the end, do not forget to click on the big yellow “Send” button (number 3 in Fig. 6).

By the way, the Yandex Postcards service, which since 2012. until December 27, 2013 was available at the link http://cards.yandex.ru, is now closed and is no longer supported. In honor of such an event, this article was completely rewritten on December 30, 2013, updated in February 2016 and December 30, 2016.

A static postcard is convenient because you can send it without thinking about how the addressee will view it (from a computer or phone), and whether he has Flash Player... The recipient will be able to view this animation on a computer in almost any browser. The ability to display them on depends on its model and firmware, and in the absence of such a function, installing one of the new versions of the UC browser will help. Flash cards are distinguished by significantly higher quality animation, which, moreover, can be accompanied by sound effects... After choosing the desired postcard (regular or Flash format) there, fill in the required fields, and a link to it will be sent to the addressee automatically. He will be able to view it by clicking on this link.

Voice cards use a speech synthesizer located on the server. To go to the site with them, click on the third link at the end of the article. After choosing a design option, click on it, and the page with the input form will load. Fill in all the fields of this form, including the recipient's address, and most importantly - enter the text that the synthesizer should pronounce. Select background music and voice. Check what happened by clicking the "Listen" button, and then send the result to the recipient (on whose computer Flash Player must be installed) by clicking the "Send" button.
