Trying to download an app from the App Store and the download process keeps getting stuck? Or perhaps you have finished restoring from a backup iCloud copies and it seems that downloading applications has been going on for ages and will never end? Such errors while downloading applications periodically occur on both iPhone and iPad. However, there are several ways to solve them, and in this post I will tell you about them.

1. Check your network connection

Make sure your internet connection is working properly before proceeding further. The easiest way to do this is to test it in other applications. For example, open any page in Safari or send a message in iMessage.

If the problem is really in the connection to the network, then as soon as it is restored, the download of the application will continue from the moment at which it stopped. If other applications are functioning normally, go to the second method.

2. Restart download

Sometimes users accidentally click on the icon of an application that has not yet been loaded and it stops. This is very easy to understand, since the icon caption will have the “Pause” status. Just click on the icon again to start the download again. And even if the download was not paused, but simply stuck, such a restart can help and the download of the application will continue.

If tapping on the icon does not work, wait a while and then repeat. If there is no result, go to the next method.

3. Reboot your iOS device

A reboot can help fix many errors, including an application load failure. Just press and hold the button at the same time Home and the button Power... As soon as the  logo appears, release both buttons, wait for your iPhone or iPad to turn on and check for frozen downloads.

If the download of the application continues - everything is fine, if not - return to the App Store and try downloading the application again. If it freezes again, go to the next method.

4. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the application

Sometimes deleting an application that has not yet been loaded and restarting the download can help. If after restarting the application it was not cleaned up, try uninstalling it manually. To do this, tap and hold on the icon until they start to wiggle, click on the “cross” in the upper left corner of the stuck application icon and confirm the deletion.

If the application has been deleted, try installing it again. If nothing happened and the icon still remains on the screen, go to the next step.

5. Download another app

I don't know why, but sometimes downloading another app from the App Store can help "stir up" stuck apps. Trying is not torture, so try downloading an app. It can be anyone free app or one of the ones you purchased earlier. Wait a little to check the result, and if it doesn't work, go to the next step.

6. Log out of your iTunes account and restart your iOS device

If all else fails, try logging out of your account. iTunes recordings... This should stop any content on your iPhone or iPad from being downloaded. Additionally, it is advisable to reboot the device before proceeding with the repeated application download procedure. Signing out of your iTunes account is pretty simple:

  • Open the App Store in the tab Selection.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the button with your Apple ID.
  • From the pop-up menu, select Go out.

7. Synchronize iOS device with iTunes

Even if you use for Reserve copy iCloud, you can still sync your iPhone or iPad with iTunes. Sometimes syncing and transferring your purchases can help with stuck downloads. Just connect your iOS device to your iTunes computer and sync it like you usually do when transferring music or movies. Wait until the end of the process and check if the home iPhone screen or iPad applications that you could not download from the App Store.

8. Just wait

Occasionally, downloads freezing can be caused by changes in the App Store servers. Perhaps you were trying to download the application just at the moment when you were updating it. This happens very rarely, but, nevertheless, it can be. Return to the application after a while and check if it has loaded.

Have you ever faced the problem of freezing of the process of downloading applications from the App Store? What solution did you use for this? Share your experience in the comments.

Troubleshoot Wi-Fi problems on your iPhone and iPad

If you run into problems with the app and Twitter still won't load on your iPhone or iPad, then it's time to move on to the next part of our guide, which will help you determine if your iPhone or iPad is connected to Wifi cause Problems. IPhone and iPad users often use Wi-Fi to use Twitter, especially if they don't have unlimited traffic.

Turn Wi-Fi on and back on

One of the quickest ways to turn Wi-Fi off and back is in the Control Center, which you can open by swiping down from the bottom of the screen on your iPhone or iPad.

Take a look at the Wi-Fi icon - if the white icon inside the blue Wi-fi circle is in the control center, it means Wi-Fi is on. To turn off Wi-Fi, tap the circle. You will know that Wi-Fi is disabled when the icon is black inside the gray Wi-Fi circle in the control center. Then, to turn Wi-Fi back on, tap the circle again.

You can also turn off Wi-Fi by opening the Settings app and tapping Wi-Fi. To the right of Wi-Fi, you will see a small toggle switch that turns green if Wi-Fi is on. To turn off Wi-Fi, press the switch - you'll know that Wi-Fi is off when the switch is gray. To turn Wi-Fi back on, press the switch again.

Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network

Sometimes, your iPhone or iPad might have problems connecting to your Wi-Fi network, which usually means that there might be a problem with your wireless router and not your device.

To check if this is the case, try connecting to a friend's Wi-Fi network.
If you find that Twitter won't load when your iPhone or iPad tries to connect to your network, then the problem is probably caused by your router. Try unplugging and plugging your router back on, then contact your ISP if the problem persists.

Forget about your Wi-Fi network

When you first connect your iPhone or iPad to a Wi-Fi network, your device saves exactly how to connect to that Wi-Fi network. Sometimes the process of this connection will change. If the saved data on your iPhone or iPad is out of date, it can lead to connection problems. By deleting the network, you erase this saved data.

To forget Wi-Fi network, open the settings. Next to the Wi-Fi network you want to forget, click the more info icon, which looks like a blue "i". At the top of the screen, click Forget Network.

Once you've forgotten the Wi-Fi network on your device, open the Settings app and tap Wi-Fi again. Click on the Wi-Fi network and reconnect by entering the password.

Reset network settings

Our final step to troubleshoot Wi-Fi issues when Twitter isn't working on your iPhone or iPad is a network settings reset, which will erase everything Wi-Fi settings, VPN (Virtual Private Network) of your device and Bluetooth settings.

Before starting this reset, make sure you write down all of your Wi-Fi passwords because you will need to re-enter the information when you reconnect!

To reset network settings on your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app and tap General -> Reset. Then click "Reset Network Settings" and enter your password. When asked again, click “Reset Network Settings” to start resetting. Your iPhone or iPad will restart after the reset is complete.

If all of the above tips did not help you, contact the service center.

It is possible that while still installing on your iPhone or iPad version iOS 10.3, you notice that when you open certain applications and games received a warning about the need to update them to work with future versions of iOS.

You can of course continue to use them with iOS 10, but if you plan on migrating to iOS 11 (if you haven't already), it's time to check to see if you will lose your apps after this switch.

It is not necessary to open each app in turn to detect the above warning, although in addition to it, iOS 10.3 can display a list of all affected apps that are currently installed.

So, before you follow the guidelines below, make sure you have enough space on your device to update your current apps. Open the App Store and hit Updates and Purchased on iPhone or just Purchased on iPad.

If you have disabled automatic download apps in Settings> iTunes & App Store on any of your devices, you will need to follow the guide below on each device to make sure you haven't updated the app that is on your iPhone 7 but not on the iPad Pro.

Important! Moving to 64-bit has been a must for developers for a few years now, so ask yourself if you need an app that hasn't been updated in years since Apple started the move to 64-bit.

1. Checking the list of applications

Under Settings> General> About, if the arrow to the right of the Applications bar is missing, none of your apps require immediate action (although that doesn't guarantee they won't have other issues in iOS 11). If there is an arrow, tap it.

2. Check for updates

Now you can see a list of applications that need attention. There are apps here that have available updates and those that don't.

In the list of those with available updates, tap an app name to go to its app store page. Here you will see an Update button. Download the update and check again if iOS supports app compatibility.

3. Search for new versions

If an app is no longer available, has no updates or patches, check to see if its update is available as a standalone app: search for the developer's name in the App Store and see anything that looks like your app.

4. Ask the developer

Otherwise, ask the developer directly through their website if they have any plans to update or replace the app.

5. Don't lose hope

If an app has been dropped from the list, it hasn't been updated in years, or if the developer himself has said that he has no plans to update it, you may need to find something that can take its place.

The second option is that even if the app is currently showing up as problematic for iOS 11, chances are that the update could roll out even after iOS 11 hits devices, within a few months.

6. Find a replacement

If there really is no hope of an update for your app, there is a good chance that there will be an alternative in the App Store that you can turn your attention to.

Try to find keywords related to the application. If it is, for example, a calendar, just search for "calendar", of which there are so many. Alternatives may not have identical appearance and the functions of your old application, but in most cases you should be able to find a decent replacement.

Of course, this will not help you with games, so if you do not particularly need iOS 11, you can play your favorite game for now until you get bored, and then switch to the new OS. After all, how much time can you waste on a game that you've played a hundred times already? And if not, then maybe not worth it?
