How to sync outlook calendar with iphone. Ways to sync iPhone contacts with Outlook. Export Outlook Data

If you use Google Calendar as your primary time scheduling tool, for example, when using Google for Domain or as a single point of synchronization for all calendars, then you need to navigate all slave devices and programs. This is what we are going to do now.

Synchronize Google Calendar with Microsoft Outlook

Synchronization only works with Outlook 2003 or 2007 on Windows XP, Vista and 7. Install the Google Calendar Sync system utility, install and configure it for your Google Account.

A calendar icon will appear in the system tray to inform you of the synchronization status of the local and remote calendar. In the settings, just carefully configure which calendar is the slave and which is the master. If you set up two-way sync, then all changes in all calendars will be quoted without additional questions.

At the moment, there is no way to limit the time interval for synchronization, and therefore all events that are included in the calendar will be synchronized.

Synchronizing Google Calendar with Apple iCal or Mozilla Sunbird

Since both programs support the CalDAV protocol, you don't need additional crutches like you do with Outlook. Using this protocol, you simply connect a web calendar from Google to your program and work in a familiar interface with a remote data storage. All changes made locally are instantly copied to Google Calendar.

The screencast below will show you how to add a calendar to iCal.

In case of Sunbird everything is a little more complicated, but still simple.

1. Select from the menu File> New Calendar.

2. Select On the network and push Next.

3. Select format CalDAV.

4. Enter the path to the calendar in the field Location: http s: //www.google.com/calendar/dav/ [email protected] / events and push Next.

On iPhone full synchronization of contacts with Outlook is performed using standard tools, without the use of additional special software or special tricks. To sync contacts and other data, you just need to create account Outlook and properly set up communication with the iPhone.

Adding an account

The easiest way to sync contacts with Outlook is add to iPhone account service record from Microsoft.

After adding an Outlook account on iPhone, go to its options and slide the "Contacts" switch to the "On" position. Synchronization of contacts with Outlook will start.

Sync via iTunes

Most often, users use iTunes to transfer contacts from iPhone to Outlook. It has all the tools you need to accomplish this task.

When syncing, keep in mind that the iPhone treats Outlook as a library of data. If there are no entries in the address book on the PC, the phone will interpret this as an update to zero and delete the contacts. Therefore, when confirming the desire to synchronize information, select the "Combine data" item - then the synchronization will take place in both directions.

If syncing contacts with iCloud is enabled, you won't be able to sync them via iTunes. In this case, please use the following method to copy your contacts to Outlook.

iCloud for computer

Instead of iTunes, you can use the iCloud desktop client. It synchronizes contacts in a few simple steps:

  1. Download the iCloud app for Windows.
  2. Install the app and restart your PC. Sign in with your Apple ID to sync data with your computer.

To sync contacts with iPhone in Outlook, make sure that the required settings are set on the device. Open the settings, section "iCloud" and check if the synchronization of contacts is enabled with cloud storage- to perform this task, the "Contacts" switch must be in the "On" position.

After confirming that iPhone contacts are stored on iCloud, you can sync them with Outlook. To do this, in the iCloud for Windows program, check the item "Mail, contacts, calendars and bookmarks" with Outlook and click "Apply".

ICloud sync not working

If you can't sync contacts via iCloud, please make sure that both iPhone and computer are signed in with the same Apple ID. Also, pay attention to the amount of data: if it exceeds the limit, then the data will not be updated. Contact restrictions are as follows:

If your data is within the limits and syncing is not working, make sure the device has an iCloud profile for your contacts account.

  1. Open the settings, go to the "Contacts" section.
  2. Click on "Default Account".
  3. Select iCloud.

Alternatively, try going into iCloud settings and turning data sync off and then back on. If this does not help, look for the cause of the error on your computer.

Many users Microsoft Outlook and owners Apple are wondering how to sync contacts, calendars and tasks. Today I will introduce you to a new IT product that will simplify this task for you.

But first things first. Let's start with the fact that Apple has its own cloud iPhone service... And if you use Microsoft Outlook, then you know that contacts, calendar and tasks are quite troublesome to synchronize with iCloud... I periodically had duplicates that had to be deleted. Therefore, I had a logical question: how to carry out synchronization in the simplest and most understandable way?

EVO Collaborator for Outlook

Comes to the rescue EVO Collaborator for Outlook(abbreviated ECO). This plugin is a bridge connecting various cloud storage, which significantly saves time and nerves during synchronization. With this plugin, the integration of contacts, calendars and and tasks from iCloud to Outlook and vice versa becomes possible.

I would like to note right away that the size of this plugin is only 3 megabytes. And it's amazing how the collaboration of Outlook with the ECO plugin breaks down the barriers between different clouds for synchronization using the CardDAV and CalDAV protocols or similar.

But first, let's figure out what kind of CardDAV and CardDAV protocols

CardDAV and CalDAV are standard open APIs from the IETF's RFC for synchronizing contacts and calendars. And many Internet services (for example, Google) widely use APIs in their products, including for contacts and calendars, so that users can use all the functionality.

Now let's move on to how to sync iCloud contacts, calendars, and tasks with the Outlook email client effortlessly:

1.First download EVO Collaborator for Outlook (short for ECO) from EVO official website
Download link. Please note that when you install the plugin, you need to log into the system as an administrator.

2.Install the plugin

3.Open Microsoft Outlook 2007/2010/2013.

4.On the main menu bar located at the top of the Outlook window, click on the EVO tab that appears. Next, click on "Profile Settings"
5.In the window that appears, click "iCloud - not configured" and enter your username and password. Then click "Test" and "Apply"

When done, any added or updated contacts, calendars, and tasks in the iCloud folder will be synced bi-directionally with MS Outlook. For example, the added contacts on your iPhone phone will sync with Outlook. The same goes for calendars and tasks.

In addition, since CardDAV and CalDAV are generally accepted standards, you can do the same with Google account, Yahoo! account, AOL and many other services that support these protocols.
